The Danish Financial Benchmark Facility (DFBF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jesper Mortensen as its new Managing Director.
Jesper joins after a long and distinguished banking career that covers Capital Markets as well as Treasury activities at Sparkassen SDS, Unibank, and Nordea, in both Denmark and abroad. He will move in to his new role from 1 December, 2019 and hence be positioned to lead the DFBF as it assumes its role of Administrator of the Danish benchmarks CIBOR, CITA, SWAP, and TomNext.
Jesper says ’ having been involved with the introduction of CIBOR back in the late eighties, and worked with benchmark related products for decades, it’s quite unique having the opportunity to move to a benchmark administrator. I am looking very much forward to applying new compliance standards and maintaining the reputation of the Danish reference rates under BMR’
Mark Beaumont, Director at Global Rate Set Systems (parent company of DFBF) says “I am absolutely delighted Jesper has agreed to join us and lead our Danish Operation. His broad experience of the Danish Financial Markets will be invaluable as the DFBF considers how to evolve the suite of benchmarks for the benefit of those markets and in consideration of emerging global best practice.
