Under the revised EU Benchmark Regulation (BMR), which applies from 1 January 2026, the regulatory scope of the BMR has been narrowed to cover only significant and critical benchmarks. Consequently, as from 1 October 2026, SWAP is no longer within the scope of the BMR, as it does not meet the criteria for a significant or critical benchmark.
DFBF, as the administrator of the SWAP benchmark, remains committed to maintaining the existing standards of governance, transparency, reliability and quality in the administration of the SWAP benchmark, in line with the established principles under the BMR.
DFBF will continue to publish the SWAP benchmark and relevant information in a transparent and timely manner, in line with its established practices.
